UPS Shipping Update
A tentative five-year agreement between UPS and Teamsters was reached this week. While this avoids the potential August 1, 2023 strike, the agreement still needs to be ratified by more than 340,000 UPS workers.
Should the new agreement not be ratified, deliveries could be delayed for an unforeseeable amount of time. It can be further expected that delivery disruptions will occur as shipments will then be diverted to other carriers.
If you are aware of critical, time-sensitive, or project-oriented products you will need in the near-to-distant future, we recommend placing orders for those items as soon as possible to avoid delays and keep you running. We also recommend stocking up on any products that you use regularly that you anticipate you will need within the next 90 days.
We are meeting with our shipping partners and making plans to provide options to help avoid disruptions. However, delivery delays may be unavoidable and out of our control for a time.
We are certainly aware of the potential impact on our global customers as a UPS strike will most certainly affect a supply chain already strained. We also urge our global customers to consider the same recommendation to place orders now to prevent potential delivery delays.
As we learn more, we will update this page.
