Gearboxes

A Gearbox is a gear train, mechanical unit or component that consists of a series of integrated gears encased in housing. To simply put it, a gear box is a box that contains gears.

Gearboxes alter the speed and torque between a driving device such as a motor and its load. It's a mechanical method of transferring energy between devices. This is used to reduce speed while increasing torque.

A gearbox can be used in basically any rotary motion power transmission application that is required to change its requirements of speed and torque.

State Motor has a wide variety of gearboxes to choose from including Right Angle, Syncrogear Modules, Parallel Shaft, and Ratio Multipliers. Plus, many Gearbox accessories and Shaft Mount Reducers are available to complete your custom application.
