Bearings

Bearings are machine elements that constrain relative motion to only the desired motion while also reducing friction between moving components. Depending on the design of the bearing, it may provide free linear movement of the moving parts, free rotation around a fixed axis, or it may prevent motion by controlling the vectors of normal forces that affect the moving parts.

Many machines rely on bearing such as airplanes, cars, and everyday household appliances like refrigerators. They create a smooth rotation and reduce friction which in turn cuts down energy consumption. This is the bearings' most important function.

Bearings also protect the part supporting the rotation from damage because of the tremendous amount of force needed between the rotating shaft and the part.

With brands like Browning, Koyo Bearings, and Sealmaster, State Motor is equipped with a wide variety of bearings to choose from to fit any application.
